The Oscars of Fashion

Since I’ve been seeing some of my fellow bloggers posting about last night’s Costume Institute Gala at the MET, I thought I’d join the party and comment on some of the amazing looks as well. I always love seeing the photos from this event every year because it’s really when we see celebrities take risks, and while it doesn’t always work out, for the most part the results are gorgeous. The gala’s theme this year was “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” honoring the late designer, and here are some of my favorite looks:

Gisele was amazing and appropriate in Alexander McQueen

Jennifer Lopez in Gucci, a bold choice that works beautifully

My girl Blake Lively in Chanel Couture, she can do no wrong

Gwyneth Paltrow looked stunning in Stella McCartney

Loved the beading on Diane Kruger’s dress by Jason Wu

Dianna Agron looks classic yet modern in Michael Kors

Brooklyn Decker also looked fab in bright pink super sleek Michael Kors

And my worst look of the Met Gala goes to Fergie…so terrible.

So I don't love the Brooklyn Decker look. I like the dress but not on her. I also don't like Blake Lively's!!! But I adore Diane Kruger. She can do different things and make them look beautiful
