Another Wednesday, another random post coming atcha…I love linking up with Jamie for What I’m Loving Wednesdays because it gives me a reason to do an all over the place list post and focus on the good things that are happening…here goes…
I’m guest posting today over at my friend Lara’s blog, Simply Irresistible, and I’m talking all about just how awesome my current hometown of Boulder, Colorado is. Because seriously, it’s great. I love living here and it was fun to be able to share some of my favorite things about this amazing city. Go check it out.
I got another recipe on foodgawker, woo! My brownies from yesterday were featured on their site, and I know am a huge dork and get way too excited about this, but I really just think that foodgawker is an awesome site and it’s where I find a lot of great recipes so getting to contribute is really cool. The site is constantly updating so I think that my brownies are on page 5 or 6 by now, but you can see them here. And you should seriously try out the recipe because it’s chocolate heaven.
Speaking of food, Cam and I had a brainstorming meeting for Thanksgiving dinner. Seriously. We are both planners and even though it’s just my family and it won’t be that many people, I still want to make sure everything is organized. So after much discussion (aka Cam telling me that we don’t need 6 desserts for just 6 people) I feel good that we’ve got a game plan in place as to when we’re going to make what. Now I just need to find a few recipes, make my shopping list, and we’ll be set. Oh, and we actually have to cook too. I’m currently in the market for a good stuffing recipe…we’re probably not going to actually stuff the turkey with it, so I’ll be making it on the side. Any suggestions/recommendations welcome!
I just found out that I am modeling for the Boulder Community Hospital Fashion Show Luncheon next Saturday. The travel store I work at has some clothes in the fashion show and apparently one of the models dropped out so they asked me if I would do it. Apparently, I’m going to be modeling clothing for my store as well as for another store in Boulder. I really have no idea what to expect but apparently this event raises money for the hospital and is somewhat a of a big Boulder “society” event. Hopefully it will be fun, I’ll definitely post pictures!
I know that I’m constantly posting these idiotic pictures of my nails, but seriously a good manicure makes me happy. It really is the little things in life. This week I have Essie Power Clutch on my nails, and it’s a great dark greenish gray that’s perfect for fall. Love.
This past weekend I discovered my new favorite fro-yo place in Boulder, and the reason that it’s my new favorite is because they have this as a topping:
So great. Obviously I put some on my red velvet frozen yogurt…along with gummy worms and funfetti cake. Diabetes in a bowl.
And as always, Lola Beans continues to be a little ray of sunshine slash she sort of looks like an alien sometimes, but that’s ok. We love her anyway.
Have a great Wednesday everyone! Xoxo
