It’s Christmastime in the City

Thanks again for all of your sweet birthday wishes yesterday, I really really appreciate it! I had an overall lovely day from start to finish, and I’ll definitely be putting up a post with some photos soon. Today, however, all the snow covering the ground and the tree branches outside the window of my office has me in a Christmas-y mood, so I thought I’d share some of my recent cell phone snaps of the holiday decorations here in Colorado. Seeing all the lights and decorations up everywhere is one of my favorite parts about the Christmas and it really puts me in the holiday spirit.

(notice all the Occupy Boulder protesters…in their expensive REI tents…pretty much sums it up)

I love how festive everything looks, and the recent snow makes everything look that much prettier. Also, when my sister was in town last week, she turned me on to the Snapbucket app for Android, which I used on these photos (and these), and I love how much fun it is to jazz up all the random pictures I’m always taking with my phone!
I’ve got a somewhat busy weekend ahead; my friends are still in town from South Carolina, so tonight I’m looking forward to spending time with them and hopefully eating another delicious meal in Boulder! I have to work at the travel store tomorrow, and then tomorrow evening is Cam’s holiday party for work (and I have NO idea what I’m wearing yet…). Sunday, I’m hoping that we’ll be able to knock out a lot of our Christmas shopping after church, because with how busy things have been lately I still have a lot left to do! Cam and I are both coming down with colds, so I’m also hoping that we can get some good rest in this weekend as well because the next few weeks are going to be crazy.
Have a fabulous, festive weekend! Xoxo
PS: I just bought Lola this adorable new zebra print bed a few weeks ago, and this is what I walked in to find a few days ago…someone is getting coal in their stocking…
