Our last weekend in Colorado…

Happy Monday friends!
This weekend was our last one in Colorado, and we only have a few days left until everything will be moved out of our apartment! Ahhhhhh….this week definitely brings a mix of emotions. I’m really excited to go to Oregon and Michigan, spend time with family and friends and celebrate the holidays. I’m also excited to get out to Lake Tahoe and see what it’s like and start exploring a new area. I’m not gonna lie, I’m nervous about arriving in Tahoe and moving into our new place…which we’ve only seen in pictures. We did the same thing with our moves to South Carolina and Colorado, but in both of those places we were moving into apartment complexes so I had a pretty good idea of what to expect. The place we’re moving into in Tahoe is a house that’s divided into two apartments and I know it’s going to be smaller than our current place, so I’m seriously nervous that all our stuff is not going to fit. I’m also sad about leaving Colorado because I really do like it here. Boulder is such a great community with so much to offer, so I’m sad that we didn’t get to spend more time here.
So yeah, that’s pretty much how I’m feeling today! We did have a lovely last weekend though; Friday night we went to the movies, and then I thought I’d share a few cell phone snaps from Saturday and Sunday…
The weather on Saturday was beautiful, so Cam and I headed to Boulder and we were able to get pretty much all of our Christmas shopping done! Yay for checking things off the to-do list!
View on our drive to Boulder–I’m going to miss this!
Picked up a little Christmas present for myself at Starbucks…
View from outside our apartment (ignore the construction…) on my walk with Lola 🙂
Saturday night, we used a Living Social certificate we bought months ago to go have drinks and see a few bands at a place right in Longmont called The Dickens Tavern…I’m not sure why this picture came out so weird, but it was a fun night!
My half-assed attempt at a ballerina bun
We finally found a church that we love and now we’re moving, boooo…we went to our last service at Cornerstone on Sunday morning and I’m so going to miss it! Luckily their sermons are available online!
The roof of the church is covered in solar panels, and I think it’s awesome how they really try to use the abundance of God-given natural resources here in Boulder!
Sunday afternoon magazine reading sesh…Lola likes to put her paws on pages and pretend she’s reading along with me…Real Simple is her favorite.
Cam and I both cleaned our closet and got rid of 4 garbage bags full of clothes! We both tend to be savers so it felt great to purge and let go of some things before the move, plus it feels good knowing they’re going to people who need them especially at this time of year.
I meant to give myself a mani with this all weekend…it didn’t actually happen until this morning, but hey that’s close enough to the weekend right?
We got most of our Christmas presents wrapped, woo!
I love our tree 🙂
Last but not least, I know that I’m a super creeper taking these sleeping pics of Cam and Lola, but I just find it hysterical. They are seriously such cuddle buddies…and I’m pretty sure Lola is giving me the death stare and mentally telling me to go sleep on the couch. Ha.

So that was our weekend in a nutshell, how was yours?

This week, I’m busy working on a few holiday crafts and baked goods, as well as tying up some loose ends before our move. Stay tuned because later this afternoon I’ve got the first of many holiday recipes coming your way! Xoxo
