This weekend I had the pleasure of attending my first blogger meetup!
The event was organized by Tracy of Then I Got To Thinking and it was wonderful to meet so many fabulous ladies from all over the Sacramento area. We spent Saturday afternoon eating delicious food and chatting about everything under the sun.

I’ll admit, I was a little nervous to attend because I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but it ended up being so much fun. The hardest part was deciding what to wear! I ended up going w/ my my maxi skirt, and it was perfect for the hot weather on Saturday!
(I had to include an outfit pic…)

The event was held at Sienna, a beautiful restaurant in El Dorado Hills, CA. It was a little bit of a trek from my house, but I’m glad that I made the trip!

We had our own private room for the event, and it was the perfect setting to really relax and get to know each other.

Tracy (seated at the head of the table) set up this adorable candy bar…a girl after my own heart! She made the cutest labels for the mason jars and the candy, and I definitely indulged in my fair share of gummy worms and cinnamon bears!

We had our choice of four entrees for the event, but ironically I think almost everyone chose the pizza/salad combo! One thing that Tracy said at the beginning of the event that I thought was so true is that even though we’re all different, there is something that we all have in common that makes us bloggers…which includes a love of pizza apparently! (Another thing that I thought was funny was that so many of us were communication majors in college…coincidence? I think not.)

Strawberry spinach salad

Wild mushroom and goat cheese pizza…so good!

Everyone had their cell phones and cameras out in full force during lunch!

Tracy did a great job putting the event together, and she is as sweet and positive in person as she seems on her blog (which you should totally check out if you’re not following it already!) Plus, I was totally obessed with her blue romper…so cute!

I’m really glad I was able to attend this event and connect with so many amazing bloggers. I loved hearing about their lives as well as what motivates them to blog. The blog world is such a special community filled with so many dynamic and creative women, and I’m so excited to be a part of it!

Tracy is featuring a recap of Saturday’s event on her blog with a list of all the bloggers who attended so be sure to check it out and show these ladies some love! Xoxo
