First up, the high-end products! These are things I’ve purchased either Sephora or the department store, and I think they’re all truly worth the investment…
(From top to bottom, left to right)
MAC Select Cover-Up Concealer
Great coverage for all over the face without being thick or heavy.
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer
Perfect color for contouring with no shimmer, plus it smells like chocolate!
Sigma Makeup Brushes
These brushes are actually a good value and cost considerably less than some other higher end brushes out there, while still being excellent quality. But because they can only be ordered online and add up quickly if you get a few, so I figured they belonged on the splurge list 🙂
Sephora Formula X System
I may do a separate post on this stuff, but it’s something that I definitely think is worth it! It really does make your polish last for an incredibly long time.
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush
I only have one shade of this blush, but I like it. Cute packaging, very pigmented, and it goes on really smooth – I want to get this color next!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel
This stuff is fantastic – if you have unruly brows like I do, you must try it!
Stila Eye Shadow in Kitten
This eye shadow is a cult favorite for good reason – it’s buttery smooth, super shimmery, and can be used all over the lid or as a highlighter. It’s really beautiful.
Benefit The POREfessional
There is a reason this pore filler/primer is so popular, it’s great at filling pores and as a base for foundation.
Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick
I typically tend to go more drugstore with lip products, but I really like the formula of this lipstick! It’s creamy, pigmented, and I love the packaging.
NARS Ita Brush
If you want to contour your face, this brush is really fantastic. The shape makes it foolproof, and I haven’t found another brush that compares to it for really defining your face.
theBalm ‘Mary-Lou Manizer’ Highlighter
If you’re looking for a good cheek highlighter, look no further. This stuff is intense – it’s super pigmented and shimmery! It’s a really flattering color and lasts forever because a little goes a long way.
MAC Studio Sculpt Lash Mascara
Mascara is one of those products where everyone tends to like very different things, and so I don’t think that this particular mascara will be everyone’s cup of tea…but I really like it! It actually has a double comb wand instead of a brush, so that takes a little getting used to in terms of application, but you can really build it up and make your lashes super long. The only thing I don’t like is that the formula does smudge occasionally, but I really love the look it gives – somewhat natural but really long and separated lashes!
I first bought their ultra-popular Orgasm blush back when I was in high school, and have repurchased it multiple times. I currently have one of their blush palettes – all the colors are extremely pigmented, apply really well, and they last forever.
Urban Decay Naked Palettes
I have the original Naked Palette and the Naked 3, and I do think they’re worth the investment. The colors are all very wearable and can be used to create a bunch of different looks.
(None of these are affiliate links by the way, I just wanted to share stuff I love!)
I’ll have another one of these beauty posts coming up soon about my favorite products from the drug store, so stay tuned for that!
