In PDX // My Summer To-Do List

Last week, I shared my list of trips that I would love to take this summer.

However, in light of our recent announcement, we’re also going to be spending quite a bit of time here in Portland as well trying to make our house a home before Baby Graybeal joins us later this year!
And honestly, Portland in the summer is SO awesome.
Last year, we didn’t move to Oregon until July and we didn’t actually move into our apartment downtown until the middle of August, and so I feel like we didn’t really get to experience much of the summer because we were busy unpacking and trying to get our bearings. But the weather here in the weather is gorgeous and there are so many things going on around the city, so I’m really looking forward to fully taking advantage of it this year!
Speaking of which, I meant to post this list last week but I thought it would be a dead giveaway to some of my friends here if I posted a list of things I wanted to do this summer and didn’t include any beer festivals…ha! There are a ton of beer, wine, and cocktail-related events taking place in Portland throughout the summer, and unfortunately I won’t really be able to partake this year. (Obviously, it’s totally worth it and I’m not complaining…but it’s just a little bit of a bummer!) However, there are lots of other things I’d like to do here in Portland while the weather is nice, but I feel like if I don’t write them down, they won’t happen! Here’s my list…so far:

-Go stand-up paddleboarding
-Walk Lola everyday
-Make (at least) 2 kinds of homemade ice cream
-Go to yoga once a week
-Read 10 books (and not all baby related either!)
-Go to the Oregon Zoo
-Get a grill…and use it!
-Play tennis
-Grow some plants in our garden
-Go to a Portland Timbers Game
-Go camping at least twice
-Hike in Forest Park
-Make a significant dent in our ‘Home Projects’ Google Doc
(Yes, we have a Google Doc of all every single thing we want to do for the house #nerdalert)
-Go to a concert at Edgefield
-Make fish tacos
-Go to Sand in the City
-Have a picnic
-Go to the farmer’s market at least twice a month
-Hike Mount St. Helens
-Finish landscaping our front yard
-Do a hike in the Gorge
-Go kayaking
-Go to the Rose Garden
-See the symphony in the park
-Make popsicles
-Start my Christmas shopping
(Seriously…my due date is in December, so I figure I need to get a jump on this now)
-Do a hike near Mt. Hood
-Go to the Street of Dreams
-Go berry picking
-Have a housewarming (slash gender reveal?) party

These are a few things I thought of that I’d like to make time for this summer, but most of all, I just want to spend time with family and friends, spend time with my husband, and spend time outside!

What about you?
What do YOU want to do this summer?!

Have a great weekend everyone! 🙂
