One of the great things about the fact that we’re having a boy is that Cameron and I have a very similar idea for what we want in terms of decor for the room…which would not have been the case with a girl 🙂 We didn’t want it to be too baby-ish or themed, but knew we needed some sort of vision to bring things together. If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile, you know that we really enjoy the outdoors, and especially visiting national parks. It was this idea that really sparked the inspiration for the look we’ve decided on for our baby boy’s room! We definitely want to incorporate our love for national parks into the decor, and would like the room to have some design elements that you’d find in a national park lodge. Overall, we want to go for a modern rustic vibe that has a Pacific Northwest flavor to it (with a dash of Portland hipster). I’ve been searching Pinterest for ideas, and while we’re not specifically basing our nursery off any particular photo featured below, I thought it would be fun to share some of my inspiration in putting together our nursery concept to give a general idea of what we’re going for:
We actually already have our crib, our dresser, and some of the design elements for the room and now we’re just deciding on the exact paint color. Once we pick that out, we’ll work on getting everything set up and I look forward to sharing some photos once the nursery is complete!
