Holiday // ‘Tis the Season for Minted (+Giveaway!)

Happy November everyone!

Now that Halloween is over, it’s time to start thinking about the holidays! Granted, I love Thanksgiving and I’m not trying to rush through the seasons just yet. But this time of year inevitably goes by so fast that it can be great to get a jump on certain things vs. waiting until the last minute. That’s why today I’m super excited to share my favorite Minted holiday cards with you!

I absolutely LOVE sending out Christmas cards and I get pretty into it each year. In a world where so much communication happens via a computer or phone screen, there’s something really special about getting a beautiful card in the mail to celebrate the season. However, this year is obviously a different one for Cameron and I since we are going to be anxiously awaiting the arrival of our baby boy right around the time I’d normally be sending out my Christmas cards. In theory, it would be awesome to wait to send a combo birth announcement/Christmas card after he’s born, especially because Minted has some super cute ones. However, since my due date is December 4th, if he decides to come a week or two late (which is totally possible), it would be extremely rushed to try and get any sort of photo card sent out by Christmas. Adjusting to life with a newborn is going to be overwhelming enough without worrying about trying to get Christmas cards out right after he’s born, and so I decided to nix that idea. I am going to be sending out birth announcements, but I’m just going to wait to order and send those some time in the new year after things have calmed down a little bit.

However, I really do love Christmas cards and I can’t imagine just not sending anything out to my family and
friends this holiday season. That’s why I decided that even though we’re going to be sending birth announcement soon, I am still going to send out
Christmas cards from Cameron, Lola, and myself as well. I’m just planning on getting them as early as possible so that way they’re ready to go out (hopefully) before our little guy gets here! And yes, I realize some people (*cough* Cameron *cough*) will probably think it’s slighty bit excessive to do both, but oh well 🙂

I’ve used Minted for our Christmas cards for the past few years now and I’ve always been incredibly pleased with the results. (The invitations for my Michigan baby shower were also from Minted and they turned out so beautifully!) Their designs are always gorgeous and their paper quality is fantastic. And sure enough, their selection of cards for the holidays this year is amazing! They have so many lovely designs to choose from that I don’t know how I’m going to make up my mind and pick just one…so in the meantime, I thought I’d share a bunch of my favorites with you!

First of all, Minted offers beautiful foil-pressed cards,
however, they previously just came in gold and silver. This year, one
of the (many) new things they are offering is rose gold foil and I am obsessed with it! It’s such a pretty option for the holidays, and I absolutely love the way it looks.

Peaceful Watercolor
Classic Holiday Wreath
Christmas Love
Joyful Type
Winter Brush
Snowflake Wishes
Confetti Toss

That GIF gives you an idea of what the foil looks like – I think it’s stunning!

However, in addition to all their foil-pressed designs, they also have a huge selection of their normal designs as well. They have holiday cards to suit everyone and I’ve already spent more time than I’d like to admit just pouring over all the different options. Here are a few of my personal favorites…

Chalk and Holly
Season to be Jolly
Whimsical Noel
Hand Painted Script
Block of Joy
Merry Little Chalkboard

I haven’t decided for sure which picture we’ll be using for our card, and because of that, I’m not 100% sure which design we’ll be using just yet. However, I definitely plan on sharing our completed card with you all once I’ve sent them out so stay tuned for that!

Finally, I think my favorite new things that Minted is offering this year is their adorable new envelope designs/recipient addressing! Last year, I uploaded my addresses into Minted and it was so convenient to have everyone’s address already printed on the envelopes when they arrive. But I just love that they’ve taken it a step further this year and are offering so many charming envelope designs to go along with printing the addresses for you. I’ll definitely be doing this!

So that’s why I’m very excited to announce that I’ve teamed up with Minted to help you get a jump on your holiday cards this year! First, I wanted to share a discount code that you can use to save $25 off you order AND get free shipping – just use the code CHEER25FS at checkout! And then in addition to that, I’m also giving one lucky reader a $125 credit to Minted!! I’ll be announcing the winner of that giveaway on Monday 11/10 so be sure to enter ASAP!

Oooo I so love the extra detail on the envelopes! It's just such a nice touch so you can enjoy the packaging even more and get excited as soon as you get your mail, not just when you open it! I love many of the cards you shared, but particularly I like ones that have the different shapes rather than just rectangle in order to stand out a little bit more when all the cards are displayed!
