Well.
Courtney won.
Boooo.
Yes, I wasted 3 hours of my night last night watching the finale/After the Final Rose. After watching this entire season, I couldn’t not see things wrap up, even if everyone knew that it was going to be Courtney. The thing I did like about last night’s fiance was the fact that it was set somewhere non-tropical. Usually all the proposal settings are kind of cliche, but I thought last night’s spot was much more rustic and just breathtaking with the mountains of Switzerland in the background. I think that Ben brought Lindzi to the final two because I think he knew it would be more calm and easy to say good-bye to her than Kacie B. or Nikki, as I think he had stronger feelings for, or at least better chemistry with, both of those women.
The whole reason I like watching the finale is to see the After the Final Rose special, and based on last night’s “re-proposal” I doubt Ben and Courtney will make it until Memorial Day. There tears did seem genuine, I just think that there is way too much water under the bridge with them. I also think they both didn’t go in looking to find love in the first place. I think Ben wanted to promte his winery and Courtney just wanted to be famous. I will say that I thought Courtney’s makeup artist did an incredible job last night as she looked really pretty on the special. Who knows? Maybe these two are perfect for each other and deserve each other. Regardless, Ben is just kind of boring and I’m not a fan of his hair at all. I’m just looking forward to the Bachelorette!
Last night’s Bachelor finale was actually really special for me…because I got to watch it some of my best friends from college…in New York!
That’s right, I’m in NYC this week!!
I didn’t mention anything about it before because my parents are flying into New York this morning to visit my sister, and my mom doesn’t know I’m here! Her and my dad are on their way to their hotel right now and my sister and I are about to walk out the door to meet them. I’m so excited to surprise her that I’m here! I’ve been dying to come back and visit my sister in the Big Apple, especially since she moved to a new apartment that’s in an awesome location. I’m actually in New York for the entire week; I was able to get an awesome deal on a flight from Sacramento so Cam dropped me at the airport Sunday night on our way back from San Francisco this weekend, and I took the red-eye and arrived in NYC yesterday morning. I’m going to be working all week from my sister’s apartment, but it will be nice to be able to spend the evenings with my sister and my parents. I so wish Cam was here too, but unfortunately he has to work this week and so it just made more sense for me to make the trip solo. (Plus, between the Bachelor, getting our nails done, and all the shopping we’ve got planned for this week, I don’t think he would have had the best time anyway!) I’m looking forward to getting together with friends and celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in the city before I head back to Tahoe on Sunday. Unfortunately, I’m not going to have much time for blogging the rest of the week…but I’ve got some AMAZING guest posters lined up for the rest of this week! Stay tuned because you’re not going to want to miss the great ladies (and gentleman?) that I’ve got lined up!
I’ll have lots more about our weekend getaway to San Fran as well as my week in New York next week, but for now I’m excited to enjoy my time in the city with my family! See you next week loves and get excited for my guest posters! Xoxo
