Is it really Monday already?
This weekend seemed to fly by! Cameron and I did lots of relaxing this weekend, as we’re still a little jet-lagged from our trip (pictures are coming this week, promise!) and it was nice just to take it easy. While we were able to get caught up on some things around the house yesterday, chilling out and watching basketball seemed to take precedence so I still have quite a few things on the to-do list for this week…oh well!
It’s been awhile since I’ve shared some of my Instagrams, so I thought today would be perfect time for a little weekend recap!
Friday night, we went to the Business Expo held at Harrah’s Casino here in South Lake Tahoe. The event featured tons of different Tahoe businesses, including many of the restaurants, and everyone was giving out free food and drinks…it ended up being way more fun than we thought! And I may have spent a little too much time by the desserts table…whoops.
Cam is caught up in March Madness, so Saturday we watched the Michigan game (along with way too many others) and I’m excited that our Wolverines are moving on to the Sweet 16!
Saturday afternoon, we went skiing at Heavenly for a few hours and it was such a gorgeous day! I snapped this photo riding on the Sky Express chairlift up to the very top of the mountain, which has the very best view of the lake!
It’s been really warm in Tahoe and we haven’t gotten much snow lately, so chances are that it was probably the last time I’ll ski this season…so you know I had to take a few pictures 🙂

As pretty as Saturday was, the snow conditions were less than ideal thanks to the lack of snow/warm weather. Some of the runs were really icy, and then others were really slushy. One my last run of the day, I was headed through a section where I was by myself and the snow was actually really good, so I started picking up speed…then all of the sudden, I hit a section where it was no longer snow but pure slush and I fell on my face hard. No bueno.

Saturday night, we went out for a little date night with Natasha and her husband which was so much fun! I obviously had to take a picture to document me leaving the house in something other than yoga pants.
We went to a new-to-me sushi place in South Lake Tahoe and it was delicious!
The food fest continued when Cam suggested getting pizza for lunch after church on Sunday. Twist my arm.
And finally, I took some random pictures of Lola this weekend that might be my favorite ever. I don’t know why a dog wearing a beanie and aviators is so hilarious, but it seriously cracks me up. She’s ridiculous.
And that was our weekend in a nutshell! I’m looking forward to a low-key but productive week before we head to Oregon for Easter! Happy Monday friends! Xoxo
