Happy Thursday everyone! Even though it’s not technically the last day of the month yet, I thought I’d go ahead and share my monthly favorites for October today! It’s not a huge list this go-round, just a few random and fun things (that are non-pregnancy related!) that I’ve been loving this month…
Rifle Paper Co. 2015 ‘Travel the World’ Calendar
It’s hard to believe that it’s already time to start thinking about 2015, but it will be here before you know it! I am obsessed with everything from Rifle Paper Co. and I was so excited when my mom got me their new travel calendar when we were out shopping during her recent visit to Portland for my baby shower. The illustrations are so beautiful and I can’t wait to put it up come January!

Taylor Swift ‘1989’
No surprise this is on my favorites list I’m sure, and I really don’t have anything else to say other than Taylor Swift is awesome. In an age where no one buys actual CD’s, she managed to create so much hype around her album release that I thought was pretty impressive. She made people (myself included) want to go out on Monday and buy the physical album (OMG there are polaroids of Taylor in there?! Of course I have to have it!) Plus the songs on the album are so damn catchy! Love.
Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Cheesecake
I’ve been buying my fair share of pumpkin products this month (I know, pretty much as basic white girl as it gets) but I’m most excited about the delicious pumpkin cheesecake from Trader Joe’s! They had samples at our TJ’s last week and it totally sold me on it.
Now that we’re well into the fall, I am loving wearing dark nail polishes once again. My favorite color lately is ‘Wicked‘, which is a super deep wine shade that looks almost black on your nails. I keep my nails pretty short so it doesn’t look too intense, but I just love how dramatic this color is.
I really haven’t gotten into a lot of new fall shows this year, but so far I’ve been enjoying Marry Me! I loved Casey Wilson on Happy Endings (which I still can’t believe got cancelled!) and this show has a similar vibe. It’s definitely silly and time will tell if it’s just a flash in the pan, but for now I like it!
Target Thank You Notes
With my baby shower in Michigan and my baby shower in Portland, I’ve had a lot of thank you notes to write the past month! I love stationary and I’ve had great luck lately finding thank you cards at Target! They don’t have a big selection online, but they have a ton of cute designs in store and I think all the ones I got have gold foil accents. (I actually didn’t get these pink ones, but loved the design!)
I heard about these new lipsticks from Maybelline through YouTube/Instagram and everyone seemed to be raving about this color ‘Touch of Spice.’ Everywhere I looked, it seemed like it was sold out and I thought I was never going to find it. However, I finally snagged a tube at Target the other day and I’ve really been loving it! It’s a mauve rose color that has some red and brown undertones, making it perfect for fall. The formula is very opaque and for being a matte lipstick it’s not super drying.
Child’s Play Halloween Candy
Being this is our first fall in our new house, I really have no idea if we’ll be getting trick or treaters…but of course, I had to buy candy just in case! (And pretty sure I bought enough candy for about 200+ kids…whoops) I bought lots of the normal chocolate favorites, but I also couldn’t resist getting a bag of Child’s Play because I love Tootsie Rolls and Dots! And I realize that I might be in the minority on this one, as I think a lot of people (Cam included) think this is stuff the worst of the worst when it comes to Halloween candy compared to chocolate…but guess what? More for me!
What about you? What are you loving this month?
Finally, I’m guest posting for Erin today over at Bakery Bingo so be sure to go check that out!
